Week 3

I made this quilt with donated fabric and chenelle. I used flannel instead of batting because the chenelle is so heavy. The four panels were already cut to this size which account for the odd shape of this quilt. The colors work nicely together but don't photograph very well.

Leigh's Elephant Bag

I made this for Leigh out of fabric she had left over from a project. The embroidered "JOY" on the inside of the bag was 35,307 stitches.

The bag is about 15" square and the strap is about a 40" drop.

Week 2

The Week 2 quilt is two donated tops that someone used for free motion quilting practice. I finished quilting the piece and bound it with extra binding that I had on hand. The fabric says "2000 - Happy New Millennium" and is covered in M&M characters.

Miss Debbie's Quilt

I finished Miss Debbie's long overdue quilt earlier this week. I used fabric out of 2 Moda jelly rolls and something I already had for the back. I quilted the interior on the diagonal and the outer border using a twig meander pattern. I really like how the inner burgundy flap border and the binding frame the quilt.

Week 1

The Week 1 quilt is complete! I pulled out one of my free-motion practice quilts and finished it.  The quilt top fabric is donated blocks that I put together and my mom gave me the fabric I put on the back.
